After some recent guests damaged a few things around our house, we expected instant payout for the items damaged.

However it would seem there’s some sort of huge delay at Airbnb meaning we’re still waiting over 2 weeks later. The site still says the claim is ‘under review’ – see pic – and there doesn’t seem to be any way to accelerate the procedure…

Any clues / hacks from anyone?

Something I can’t get my head around: why is it that Airbnb guests (well, about 90% of the ones who stay at mine) always make the bed when they leave? Is that what they do in hotels? – I think not!

Perhaps they think that we’re just going to leave the bed (unwashed) for our next guests? Or perhaps they think they’ll receive a better guest rating this way?

If you’re a guest and you want to be useful on check-out, how about actually stripping the sheets/pillow cases so that we can put them straight into the washing machine?

If anyone knows the reasoning behind this illogical human behaviour within Airbnb please get in touch.
