More terrible service from the world’s worst building management company
This week, the company that hiked my service charge by about £2k this year during a global pandemic, came out with a true example of top notch service. I needed to get hold of a spare garage opener for the communal garage space. So I got in touch with Chamonix, and they kindly told me…

Finally face-masks are required…
Yesterday I was so glad to see everyone in my local Tesco was finally wearing a face mask. 4 months after the point at which everyone logically should have been wearing them anyway, it’s only now that they actually have to. Better late than never I guess. My recommended face masks are available here.

Ewelink / Sonoff devices no longer working on IFTTT (unless you pay)
A few days ago one of my sonoff/ewelink light switches which I had programmed to switch on with the sunset (using IFTTT) stopped switching on… I soon received an email from IFTTT saying that Ewelink had disconnected, but could ‘easily be reconnected’. Will it encourage the spread of diseases etc? Of course I assume the nursery will have a lot more regular hand-washing, smaller group sizes, and…

I almost forgot Channel 4’s Brexit film is a perfect depiction of Dominic Cummings
Last year’s impressive yet tragic film about how Brexit happened by Channel 4 was spot-on with its depiction of Dominic Cummings- the evil brains behind winning the Brexit vote. The cold, calculating, and non-human role was performed by Benedict Cumberbatch- well worth a watch: https://www.channel4.com/programmes/brexit-the-uncivil-war?cntsrc=social_share_ios_brexit_the_uncivil_war

I was surprised by the amount of buying activity on eBay during lockdown
At the start of lockdown I assumed that no-one would be buying anything online (apart from essentials on Amazon etc). So I didn’t bother trying to sell anything on eBay. However, I was pleasantly surprised when most of the bits I put up for sale went pretty fast. Not only that, the pricing reflected market…
